ONC’s Two New Proposed Rules: A Need-to-Know Deep Dive

Webinar Details

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) recently released two Notices of Proposed Rulemakings (NPRM) in April 2023. The first proposal is to implement certain provisions of the 21st Century Cures Act and make several enhancements to advance interoperability, improve transparency, and support the access, exchange, and use of electronic health information. The second proposal is to modify the HIPAA Privacy Rule to strengthen reproductive healthcare privacy. For both NPRMs, the ONC is seeking public comment with deadlines in mid-June. As we quickly approach these deadlines, it is vital for organizations to comment and respond. Hear from two industry experts as they highlight the proposed regulations, and provide suggestions for organizations to consider, as they provide comment and response.
